10/10 Thanksgiving Turkey with Dan-O's Seasoning
45 mins prepServes 10
This year I tried a new method for making a Thanksgiving turkey and the turkey was a 10/10! The real star of the show was the @danosseasoning that added amazing flavor to my turkey.
1. Prep your turkey and don’t forget to remove the neck and giblets!
2. In a bowl, combine: 1 stick of room temp butter, chopped sage, thyme, and rosemary. Then, sprinkle a good amount of Dan-O’s seasoning. Mix well and then roll into a log using plastic wrap. Refrigerate or freeze the butter until it hardens.
3. While the butter is hardening, get started stuffing the turkey. First, season the inside of the turkey with Dan-O’s seasoning. Then, stuff with carrots, celery, onion, lemon, garlic, sage, thyme, and rosemary.
4. When the butter is hardened, slice it and place the slices under the turkey skin. This will give the breast meat amazing flavor!
5. In a bowl, melt butter and add chopped sage, thyme, and rosemary. Brush the mixture all over the turkey and then sprinkle more Dan-O’s seasoning on top.
6. Tie the legs and tuck the wings. Then, cover with foil and place the turkey in the oven. I cooked my turkey on 350º and had the turkey covered for the majority of the time. I removed the foil for the last hour so the skin could get browned and crispy. And don’t forget to baste your turkey with all the yummy drippings throughout the cooking process!
