Using roasted garlic in recipes has been my new favorite thing! When you roast garlic in the oven, it turns it into something that’s much milder than raw or sautéed garlic. It gets caramelized, sweet, spreadable, and delicious!
1. Preheat your oven to 350°.
2. Cut the garlic cloves in half and place on aluminum foil. Drizzle with olive oil and then wrap up the foil.
3. Bake for 35 minutes.
4. In the meantime, make sure your butter comes to room temp and is soft and mixable. Add Italian seasoning, pepper, and salt, if you’re using unsalted butter.
5. When the garlic is ready, add the caramelized cloves to the butter mixture and combine well.
6. Slather the mixture onto the Italian bread.
7. Toast the bread until the edges begin to brown. Keep an eye on it so it doesn’t burn!
